Solar Winds hack: THE WORLD IS ON THE VERGE OF CYBER CATASTROPHE AND EVERYTHING IS VULNERABLE!

Nicole Perlroth and her new book This is how they tell me the World Ends are getting a lot of buzz this week.

Terry Gross conducted a somewhat nerve racking in-depth interview with Perlroth on the February 10th edition of NPR’s Fresh Air. The interview focuses on the Solar Winds hack, and how the USA has become more targeted and vulnerable to cyberattack over the last decade.

In addition, there were simultaneous reviews of the book on February 9th in the New York Times and the Washington Post.

On the same day we featured Perlroth being interviewed on Kara Swisher’s SWAY as a follow-up to Swisher’s conversation with Microsoft CEO Brad Smith. You can find a link to the SWAY interview embedded as an update to our “Should Big Tech Stay out of Politics” post.

My message to us end user common folks starts with: get a Passord Manager / Digital Wall now if not yesterday!

My favorite is 1Password.
If you’re multi-platform you may want to try LastPass.
If neither of those fits your fancy, there’s also Dashlane.
